I rode through Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and the Yukon to get to Alaska.  I went all the way to Deadhorse next to Prudhoe Bay.

Most of my trip through Washington was along the Columbia River There was a long line at the Canadian border Newlyweds Mike and Jordan invited me for a beer I stopped at lots of rest areas Mile zero of the Alcan Highway in Dawson Creek
The Alcan Highway was mostly well-maintained asphalt It wound across mountains and through valleys North of Fort Nelson there were wild sheep I stopped at Liard Hot Springs Herds of buffalo were along the road
Into the Yukon Sign posts at Williams Lake I left a Longhorn momento When I camped rough I played old guy music on my mp3 player to scare off the bears Paddle boats came up the river below
I chatted with a solar car team at Pelly Crossing.  They were on their way to Inuvik The highway crosses the Yukon River by ferry at Dawson City The Top of the World Highway was a little muddy Doug and Darren (from Corvallis) treated everyone in Chicken to fresh crab legs. I talked with  a group of riders was from California
My old tire was showing several inches of cord George had a large selection of tires Here's a typical stretch of gravel road on the way to Deadhorse At the Arctic Circle I stopped at Coldfoot Camp
I shared the road with trucks and other riders The road cuts through the tundra Mickey set up his tent near mine.  He's done a trip of 10,000 miles in ten days reaching all 49 states. The End of the Road
