February My German friends, Frank and Jenny, came to visit us in Thailand. They stayed at our townhouse and we showed them the sights of Udon Thani. Frank brought me some tools from Germany along with some tasty German chocolate. They decided to take a motorcycle tour of Isan so they rented a pink motorbike. We nicknamed it "Miss Piggy". It was good to see my friends. March Top has become a mini-monk during the school term break. I guess it's a little like church camp in America. He's all dressed up in an orange robe and has had his head shaved. Every morning he and the other mini-monks go out with their begging bowls and get food. Families bring food for their mid day meal. Nee and I took a super deluxe pizza. I don't know about the other boys but Top loved it. |
