It has been a year now since my first diary entry. The psychological suspense of waiting has made the year 2000 seem long. I've read my weight in travel books. I've visited hundreds of websites. I've bought a few travel goodies.

Now things are becoming more real. I'm in the final months of liquidating my business. I've started the process of booking tickets (see www.airtreks.com). I've finished my immunizations except for typhoid and pneumonia. I've scheduled my bonvoyage party for the evening of 6/13/01.
