June Appears Early Location: Corvallis, Oregon USA Date: 3/5/2001 What a great day. Last November I gave my friend June my backpack, Polartec jacket, travel vest, and two shirts along with a supply of Digital Nomad patches. June's hobby is sewing and she "volunteered" to sew a border around the colorful patches and attach them to my travel goodies. Today she delivered all the stuff. It looks great. Thanks, June! I rushed home and loaded up my travel vest. Then I eyed my pack and the accumulating pile of travel "necessities". I'm glad June finished ahead of schedule. I have a feeling that without the pack's size as a physical constraint that I would keep collecting travel gadgets. Pretty soon it would take a container ship just to transport everything. Maybe this weekend I'll try to pack everything into the pack and weigh it. My goal is still 50 pounds including pack, vest, clothes on my back, and everything. |
