The last few weeks have been great.  After much planning and research, I ordered and received my tickets for the first leg.  You can check out the detailed itinerary if you want.  The price was somewhat lower than expected.  Check out some of the great bargains on the web.    With airline tickets in hand, I could confirm the Amtrak reservation to get to LAX.  I'm planning on a brief visit with Aunt Ruthe and Uncle Read so I'm renting a car to get around in L.A. 

I've updated my route map and posted my Bon Voyage Party invitation. Relatives from all over the USA are coming in to wish Brentley happy high school graduation and to congratulate Heather on completion of her AA (Associate of Arts) and to wish me Bon Voyage.

I have signed up for a motorcycle riding course.  They furnish motorcycle and helmet.  If I pass it I can present the certificate the the Oregon DMV and get the motorcycle endorsement on my driver's license.  As soon as I get the endorsement, I'll go to AAA and get my international driver's license.
